We rented the Bear Lane Cabin for Thanksgiving weekend. Not really cabin but a nice big, clean, updated home which sits right off a ski trail on Mount Abram. Has some very nice views.
The house is well equipped with pretty much everything you'd want in a rental, and a lot more. On the top floor there is one full bath with three bedrooms that were clean with comfortable beds. The main floor is really quite large with a separate TV room, although we never made it in there. The kitchen is well equipped with a nice island to hang around and a big dining table for family meals. The basement is fully finished with two beds, full bath, pool table, dart board and a sauna!!
It was unseasonably cold during our stay but the house is fairly new and very tight. Mt. Abram is a really fun place if you haven't been and really close to Bethel and more restaurants.
Our family of all ages absolutely loved this home. We were very sad when our vacation came to an end. The home is really well equipped, with literally every last detail. More than enough towels & extra bedding, comfy beds, wine glasses ;) and even spare light bulbs just in case. There are LOADS of fun games for literally ALL ages. Lot's of couches as well, :) (2 couch rooms on the main floor, and one in the basement) and we all loved the pool table, oh and did I mention the sauna :). Really nice decor, a large dining table, lots of windows, and woods wrapping around the nice property made for a perfect family bonding vacation. Some days we would go down the mountain to a kayak rental or fishing, or splash in the Wild River (route 113, Evans notch), or in the stunning swimming holes and falls of Frenchman's Hole, and Honey Hole (Riley Township, ME), or one day we went down to Portland for a ferry to the Islands, it's beaches & Portland Lighthouse (Fort Williams Park), or (our favorite :) just cozied up at home with a game or the TV.
David was very responsive and a pleasure to work with!
